Is it just me, or did 2012 fly by? I’m still trying to make sense out of the year that is a total blur. From trips to homemade gifts, and of course heaps of recipes, here are my highlights from 2012–complete with pictures:
Starting this blog. You know you love it. Or you’re trying really hard to.
Being named one of The Lazy Travelers featured Jetsetters. You can read my responses to their questions here.
Winning Go with Oh!’s travel dare contest on Twitter during the Prague portion of Lola and Leah’s Euro Tour. Be sure to follow Go with Oh! on Twitter so you can submit your travel tips and dares for Spring 2013’s contests. Also, you should already be following me on Twitter.
Wandering around Chicago and meeting seeing Olivia Wilde and the guy who plays Berger on Sex and the City outside my hostel.
Participating in my dear friend Charise’s wedding as maid of honor.
Welcoming Miss Payton into the world (and becoming an auntie!).
Attending the Treasure Island Music Festival–my first ever music festival.
Accomplishing my New Year’s resolution of finishing three 5k races. So I’m an overachiever and my last one was a 6k– booyah!
Witnessing my grandparents renew their vows after 61 years of marriage.
Taking a cooking class at a local culinary school with Judy, and helping make everything pictured! I swear a post is coming at some point..
Seeing the Gaslight Anthem perform at the Fox Theater in Oakland.
I’m still in shock that 2012 is already coming to a close. But I can’t wait for all of the fun things I have planned in 2013, which include: Paris for Christmas, a bachelorette party that I’m 90% sure is happening in Miami, making good use of my new candy thermometer (and overcoming my massive fear of making candy..), a wedding in Austin and another in Monterey, crafting the vast majority of my Christmas presents (guys, I think I’m gonna make soap), Week 1 of Coachella, and the list goes on… Here’s to a fun and fabulous 2013!
