Welcome to the World’s Smallest Park

Also while in Portland, we found the world’s smallest park. No, I’m not exaggerating. According to Wikipedia:

“(Mill Ends Park) is a tiny urban park located in the median strip of SW Naito Parkway, approaching esplanade along the Willamette River near SW Taylor Street in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. The park is a circle 2 ft (0.61 m) across, with a total area of 452 sq in (0.292 m2). It is the smallest park in the world, according to the Guinness Book of Records, which first granted it this recognition in 1971.”

Cool, right?! I quickly stole a picture as we drove by.

Yep, that’s it. You couldn’t even have a picnic! Well, maybe if you sat on the curb 🙂

After her ceremony, she, her parents, and I were trying to figure out where to grab a bite to eat and enjoy some celebratory drinks before our dinner at Veritable Quandary (a post on VQ will follow soon!) that night. Andina had received a lot of hype from Em’s mom because of their Pisco Sour– a drink no restaurant could replicate for her. We decided to venture into the Pearl District to enjoy some Peruvian cuisine and a Pisco Sour or two at Andina.

Napa Eats: Fume Bistro

My grandparents came down for a visit while en route to my cousin’s birthday. Being that my grandmother’s birthday is coming up soon and she’ll be in Tennessee for it, we wanted to take her out for a lovely dinner to celebrate early. Per usual, we were fronted with the conundrum of where to take her. After tossing some ideas around, we decided on a place we hadn’t been in years (which resulted in us wondering why we hadn’t been in years..)Fumé Bistro.
